The Objective

Our client had made the move from personal driving to using a chauffeur, in order to maximise their productivity and quality of life due to heavy travel commitments. This solution felt too impersonal, so they subsequently moved to use of their own vehicle with a driver, in order to guarantee the quality of vehicle for a more ‘at home’ feel. However, due to issues with integrity, they approached us to seek an alternative solution. They were looking to enhance trust and customer service levels, without compromising their productivity time.

Fast response

After engaging with the client, we wasted no time in selecting a suitable operative to fulfil the task, to ensure an almost seamless transition between the old service and our solution. Initial risk and lifestyle assessments were conducted to guarantee that both the client and operative were safe and suitably equipped. Contracts and confidentiality agreements were also quickly put in place.

Specialist equipment

Costs were kept down by the client providing their own key safety equipment. Specialist satellite communications, personal medical equipment and vehicle breakdown essentials were provided by BluSkills, to ensure they were of the correct spec.

Procedures & plans put in place

Area studies and recces of key locations enabled us to confirm contingency plans, including multiple routes in and out of locations, so comprehensive briefing packs and crime studies could be produced. Emergency procedures were introduced to ensure the effective handling of a crisis situation. For example, when identifying a vehicle following on the way home, we follow pre-arranged actions, to ensure the safety of the client and operator, specific to the threat that’s been assessed.

Ongoing risk assessment

By introducing watertight threat and risk management processes, with regular feedback from the operative to BluSkills, we allowed for ongoing and accurate assessment of risk.

Detailed record keeping

By implementing a detailed record keeping system, we ensured that business mileage could be easily reclaimed, with invoicing split between business and personal use. In addition to key client information, we have been able to provide clients with retrospective information, such as vehicle conditions prior to service, where disputes may have arisen.

Vehicle quality & safety ensured - Fleet management

The client requested that responsibility for cleaning the vehicle and noting any faults was given to our operative. BluSkills also arranged vehicle servicing on behalf of the client to ensure minimum disruption, no vehicle downtime and replacements are available when needed.
